Welcome to the Martinsburg Housing Authority!

ABOUT MHA

The Martinsburg Housing Authority provides stable, quality, affordable housing for low and moderate - income families throughout the local community. Through provision of Public Housing apartments and management of Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers, the Martinsburg Housing Authority serves more than 675 low income families.

At the Martinsburg Housing Authority, we believe in more than just providing homes; we are dedicated to building a strong and supportive community. Our commitment extends beyond the physical structures we manage – we are advocates for fair housing for all.

Established in 1938 by the City Council of Martinsburg, our Housing Authority has stood the test of time. Rooted in our founding principles, we remain steadfast in our mission to ensure that everyone, regardless of financial constraints, has a place to call home.

With 327 public housing units across five complexes in Martinsburg and 348 Housing Choice Voucher units spanning Berkeley, Jefferson, and Morgan Counties, our impact reaches far and wide. We take pride in our role as a key player in the community, working tirelessly to create housing solutions for those in need.

Join us on this journey of community-building and advocacy. The Martinsburg Housing Authority is more than just an organization – it's a welcoming space where residents and partners come together to create a better living environment for all. Together, we can make a difference.
